Just as a weather forecast tells you what's happening outside so you can dress accordingly, cosmic weather tells you what's happening in the sky so you can notice how it might relate to your experience. What do I need to get started?

An email address is all you need to create an account. To see your personalized chart and transits, you'll also need your birth date, time, and location. Birth time is important for calculating your rising sign and house placements — but if you don't know your exact time, WavePoint will work with what you have.

Yes. The free tier includes your interactive birth chart, cosmic calendar, daily briefing, tarot readings, and the full content library. The Insight tier adds detailed personal transit descriptions, deeper briefing context, and secondary progressions.

Is this a horoscope app?

No. Horoscopes generalize for an entire sign. WavePoint calculates your specific chart and shows you the actual transits touching your natal planets. We describe cosmic weather — what's active and how it might feel — but we don't predict outcomes or tell you what to do. Brief, contextualized interpretations help you learn. No. Your daily briefing is deterministic — it's assembled from the actual positions of planets in relation to your chart using template composition, not language models. What is a birth chart?

A birth chart (or natal chart) is a map of exactly where every planet was at the moment you were born, as seen from your birth location. It includes the Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto, along with the Ascendant (rising sign) and Midheaven. What are transits?

Transits are the current positions of planets in the sky as they form aspects (geometric angles) to the planets in your birth chart. When transiting Saturn forms a square to your natal Moon, for example, you might notice a period of emotional restraint or responsibility. What is my Big Three?

Your Big Three — Sun sign, Moon sign, and Rising sign (Ascendant) — are the three most prominent placements in your chart. Your Sun sign reflects your core identity, your Moon sign reflects your emotional nature, and your Rising sign reflects how you appear to others. WavePoint calculates all three from your birth data and shows them on your profile.

Why does birth time matter?

Birth time determines your Ascendant (rising sign) and the house placements of all your planets. Without it, WavePoint can still show your planetary signs and aspects, but house-based features like profections, transits to angles, and house-specific interpretations won't be available. If you don't know your birth time, check your birth certificate or ask family members.

What are aspects?

Aspects are geometric angles between planets. The five major aspects are conjunction (0°), opposition (180°), trine (120°), square (90°), and sextile (60°). Harmonious aspects (trines, sextiles) suggest ease. Challenging aspects (squares, oppositions) suggest tension. Conjunctions intensify both planets' themes. The Moon moves through the entire zodiac every ~28 days, changing signs roughly every 2.5 days. It's the fastest-moving and most immediately felt celestial body. The calendar marks these phases so you can notice the rhythm.
